Etymology of Sahu Cast
Sahu (or Sahoo) is a surname found in India and Pakistan. People using the surname may belong to various castes or tribes.The meaning of the term "Sahu" may change from region to region. The term generally means "businessman" or "moneylender". It means "gentle" in the Jhelum region and "patient" among Jats.
Currently in Pakistan this Sahu cast is mainly located in Moza Jusa, near Abdul Hakim, Pakistan. This Moza comes under district Toba Tek Singh and Tehsil Kamalia.
The Sahu family originally based here in Moza Jusa Abdul Hakim, and they are now serving in high profile Pakistan government sectors.

Sahu Family in Jusa (Joasa) Punjab Pakistan
JUSA is also known as Joasa or you may call Josa, joosa. It is located at main Multan-Faisalabad road, near Sindhnai headworks alongside Ravi river. Abdul Hakim is the adjacent city, which is about 6km away. JUSA is known due to residence of Sahu family. The whole land is owned by Sahu family.
The Sahu family has agricultural background and professionally they are Engineer, Doctor, Civil Servant, Armed Forces employees, educationist etc.
History of the Jusa reveals that a person named as JUSA lived there in Mughal era. The residents of the village JUSA are Sahu and are native. The adjacent villages are also owned by Sahu family. The office of the union council is situated in Jusa. The Sahu family held Chairmanship of the council throughout the history.
Late Sardar Allah Buksh Sahu was Chief of Wapda (West Pakistan) in 1960 's. The person wrote several books relating to Engineering, which are still part of the syllabus in multiple engineering universities.
Late Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Sahu retired from higher rank of Police
Late Mian Ahmed Yar Sahu emerged as figurehead of Sahu family. He was known as the biggest landlord. He had Christmastime personality and vision. His successor Late Mian Haq Nawaz Sahu led the Sahu family with same dignity and brought pride for the family. Late Haji Muhammad Nawaz Sahu not only served the entire Sahu family but also the residents of area towards infrastructural development of area.
Sahu family also served Islamic values at their best and Moulana Tariq Jameel Sahu is their Islamic scholar in today's world.
